Hello my lovelies! Brides Guide is a new weekly post that I’ll be writing for the next four weeks or so, in the run up to the busy bridal season. This will be an information station for all my gorgeous brides to be, bridesmaids to be, or even wedding guests! It’s your big day, and you want to look incredible. So, I’ve put together some posts with hints and tips, to make you picture ready and looking unbelievable, yet recognizable – we don’t want completely confused grooms!
In today’s post I wanted to talk to you about the importance of preparation. While you may be spending endless hours planning the details of the wedding, remember to take care of yourself. Invest in good quality skin and hair products. I swear by my Clarasonic, for the softest glowing skin, and my new favorite skin care line – REN. Before my wedding I had around 3 facials which were amazing. They gave my skin the extra glow it needed, whilst keeping me relaxed!
Get your hair trimmed regularly, but allow enough time if you want to grow your hair into a specific style. Around 3-6 months before the big day start to collect pictures of hair styles that you like. Show them to your hairdresser, and create an action plan of how you are going to achieve the look. Now is not the time for experiments – no blondes going brunette please ladies. You want to look back at these pictures, and think you look hot, not “What was I thinking!”
Take time out to exercise. Try yoga for it’s relaxation, and toning properties – you will not only look amazing in your dress you will feel incredible too!
Always scrub your body with exfoliating gloves, and moisturize. Victoria Secret has an amazing – buy 6 products for $35- right now. Hurry now, and stock up on creams, body scrubs, and body sprays.
I hope you enjoyed the first edition of Brides Guide! Let me know if you have any wedding related beauty questions!
