Ever since I read in the beauty bible *aka, Allure magazine* that 75% of ageing was from sun exposure, I was on board to up my sunscreen usage. Now, living in Florida it would just be plain silly to not use some form of sun protection every time you leave the house – unless you want to look like that super tanned wrinkly lady from “There’s Something About Mary” – by all means go ahead! But… if you’d like to look somewhat fresh faced for as long as you can, you need to get on the sun protection band wagon! Introducing the *Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50 your new best friend people. Trust me.
The Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50 is not your average daily moisturiser. Far from it. It’s not at all greasy like most ‘sun creams’ and one of the most important things for me, is that it didn’t make my skin break out at all – and I have super sensitive skin that’s all prone to spots. I’m just lucky like that. The innovative formula accelerates the product’s SPF from 30 to 50, but the best part is.. it uses 50% LESS chemicals than sunscreen agents. A huge increase that’s possible thanks to Oleosome technology.
So what are Oleosomes? I hear you cry!
To get ‘technical’ about things – they’re naturally occurring sphere’s of emollient oils and Vitamin E found in Safflower seeds. These amazing molecules can deliver active ingredients like sunscreen straight to the surface of the skin, allowing them to release over time, ensuring the best possible results.
As well as protecting the skin from the damaging effects of the sun’s rays the Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50 also helps to battle and reduce hyperpigmentation and contains a stimulate collagen synthesis, as well as antioxidant White Tea polyphenols, to help regulate collage loss. If you want to look youthful for as long as possible, it really is all about adding collagen to the skin, so for me this is another major skin care bonus of this cream.
Who should buy this product?
Anyone who wants to protect their skin from sun caused ageing.
Can I use this everyday?
Yes. You should! I love this and like I said before, its super light and not greasy at all. I also find it provides a lovely base for make-up.
Is it better than ‘normal’ sunscreens?
For me – absolutely yes! I love this for everyday use as it’s so light and easy to use. It’s just like applying a normal moisturiser – with added benefits. It doesn’t leave any white residue like other sun screens and the high factor gives you more protection for longer.
