This is a little ‘Face of the Day’ that I like to think of as my summer make-up look. Easy peasy, in spite of quite the array of products, bright and fun. It’s the go to, in a hurry, fool proof face, and of course, I’m still loving my Urban Decay Naked Palette. In summer there are two types of products that I always seem to reach for. A bright lip product and a bronze eyeshadow. For this look I’ve gone for a neutral eye, because the sun here is rather unforgiving, and lets face it, my peepers are behind sunnies most of the time anyway.
For the skin, I used Laura Mercier Sheer Skin Tint in beige o2. When I first tried this, I didn’t like it so much, but now in the summer heat, it seems to work for me, and with a dusting of Maybelline Dream Matte Powder, I’ve over come the greasy chip pan face.On my cheeks I used my current favorite cheek stain Tarte awakening, which gives your skin such a lovely natural glow, and packs a fair few skin benefits to boot.
I love the shimmery, glittery colors in the Naked Palette, but for this look I kept it muted by applying Mac Paint Pot in Painterly as a base, topped with Naked swept on the lid, and Virgin in the inner corners of the eyes – both from the Naked Palette. To create big lashes, I used Maybelline the Rocket Volum’Express mascara. I also filled in my eyebrows with the Sally Hansen brow pencil in medium.
Now, for the loud, bright lips, I used my Revlon Just Bitten Kissable balm stain in 040 Rendezvous which to me screams summer. Hey, it’s the little things right! You are done! This is quick, and simple and perfect for bright, warm summer days. OK, now we have some scary before and after pictures. The things I do for you guys eh!? PS. Don’t show anyone what you see below:) Gotta LOVE make-up!
