How to do….. perfect 60’s flick eyeliner!!

Happy Monday to you.. I hope yours went well!

So this post is a little photo tutorial of how to create a neat and tidy ‘flicked’ 60’s inspired eyeliner look – now try saying that quickly!:)

What you will need:
1. Some tape – I used washi tape – I LOVE this, it’s a japanese make mainly used for crafting – but super cute!!

2. Good eyeliner – I used MAC fluid line – BLACKTRACK

3. A good eyeliner brush – pointy – sturdy – you get the jist.

So here we go….

STEP ONE: cut some tape – ( if it’s particularly sticky dab the tape on the back of your hand a couple of times to take down some of the stickiness) next apply the tape at an angle, following your lower lash line upwards towards your eyebrow.

STEP TWO: Paint along the upper eyelid – as close to the lash line as possible. Follow the line outwards and upwards using the tape as your stencil. Make the line thiner as you reach the end.

STEP THREE: remove the tape and your liner is complete. SIMPLES!

This is so easy – please do give it a go at home and let me know what you think! The brilliant thing is the tape acts like your stencil and creates the most perfect neat line for you – wobbly hands? Don’t worry!

Also remember to make both eyes symmetrical – ie. make sure both eyes are even, and one line isn’t longer than than the other.

TOP TIP – neaten up and smudges with cosmetic cotton buds – they are your friend.
