Lucky Bag

Luckily for moi, I managed to get my mitts on the Lucky Bag from Selfridges Beauty Workshop, as they put it (just in time for Christmas!) This was a Christmas pressie for me though:) Looks like someones going on the naughty list – yikes. OK I’m sure you’re cringing now, as am I by my last sentence…sorry mulled wine brain!

Anyway back to the point. I’d never heard of Lucky Bags before, but I read about them on British Beauty Blogger, and was hell bent on getting one. So, after some appropriate @Selfridges stalking, they announced that they were on sale, and you had to be quick because there were only 1000. Sadly they are now all sold out.

Inside the £15 Lucky Bag was a surprise of beauty products, and a few lucky ducks got a gift card worth £170. Sadly again, not me. I did however get a Blink gift card for an eyebrow shape which costs £17 alone – so really the bag paid for itself.

Look what I got…

I did a special single shot of my favourite item in the bag – The Disco Duck lip balm!! how cute is this?! I love it. It smells incredible, and is more like a gloss rather than a lip balm as it’s quite sticky. It is a little strange though applying lip balm from a ducks bottom!

Next favourite product has to be the eyeko London skinny mini, Liquid eyeliner in black
The pen is very fine, perfect for creating winged eyeliner with.

Then there is the Ren Moroccan Rose Otto bodywash This has a very strong scent of rose, so if you like that, you will love this. I’m not a huge fan of rose scented products, but I will still use this of course!

The Dermalogica daily microfoliant will literally leave your skin squeaky clean. I’m not sure what I think about this yet. It’s a weird product, as it starts off in a powder form, which you wet to create a paste, but I don’t think it leaves your skin very soft. I will give this a fair chance though, and let you know my final thoughts.

When I saw the James Read wash of tan for the body, I immediately thought I would never use this, only to quickly change my mind. Why so hasty you ask? Well, I am that girl you see with brown legs and little white sock feet, as I can’t apply fake tan well to save my life – so most fake tan products scare me. This does have a really nice natural colour though, and as it’s wash off this isn’t so much of a tanner to me, as it is a liquid bronzer. This would be excellent in your kit if you’re a make-up artist like me, as it’s not heavy, and would come in very handy to cover up any tan lines.

All in all, I LOVED the Lucky Bag, I only wish I had bought two – but I should be so lucky, lucky lucky lucky:)
