This time last year, I was getting ready for my wedding in Mykonos, Greece. It was such an incredibly special day, that made all those stressful moments *bridezilla* worth it. I just kid of course, Bridezilla I was not *cough, cough*
My dress was very floaty, pretty and elegant, if I do say so myself – so I wanted my wedding hair to compliment the style of the dress, and the location itself. If you’ve read any of my Brides Guides, you’ll know I thoroughly recommend having a style icon or two, when planning your wedding look, to draw inspiration from. It’s rather cliche and I’m a bit embarrassed to admit it, but mine was Diane Kruger in the movie Troy. Greek movie, Greek wedding destination – yeah it was basically My Big Fat Greek Wedding, or Mama Mia – imagine my dad looked like Pierce Brosnan and you’re there!
I knew I wanted to have my hair up and off my face, in a low chignon style with braids. Not to much to ask then.I also found an amazing picture of Kate Middleton at the Titanic premier (I believe) that I took to show my hairdresser when we did a trial. Mykonos in the summer can be super hot, and even though the wedding took place at 5:30pm, there was no way my hair was going to look good if I had worn it down. For my wedding abroad ladies – up do’s are perfection.

Here’s a couple more images of what my incredibly talented hair dresser created. What a doll. I loved it so much, it took 2hrs to do, and it pretty much stayed in until the next day. Score.
