The Nars Kabuki Brush

I’ve needed new make-up brushes for a while, especially seeing as my Chihuahua’s love to get their jaws around them and use them as chew toys whenever possible *sob* but did I intend to drop some serious cash on one brush? Not so much. I blame Renny Vasquez – the celebrity make-up artist I met at TMS Orlando. He professed his love for this brush and explained how he uses it on all his celebrity clients. Yeah, I had to have it.

This gorgeous offering is from Nars and is the most perfect brush for applying highlighting powder onto your cheekbones and for delicately sweeping blusher on to the apples of your cheeks. I picked up the smaller of it’s kind, which is why I think mine has a dainty, delicate handle, unlike the larger size that’s more chunky. Kept up high under lock and key, away from drooling chihuahua jaws, lies this beauty.

Extremely high quality, this dome shaped brush picks up and distributes product beautifully. This feels like the most luxurious brush to use and is so soft, it’s as if kittens were brushing your skin! The dainty hand-spun black wisteria handle gives a nod to Kabuki’s unique traditional character and is inspired by traditional Japanese beauty rituals. So if you think about it, you’re not paying for just a brush, but for a little bit of history. Ha! Tell yourself whatever you need to, to get your mitts on this. It’s a dream!
