No Drought # LUSH Dry Shampoo

Being the Lush fan that I am, I’m only too keen to sample their latest offerings. So far on my Lush new products must try it list, is the No Drought Dry Shampoo. I have to confess, I luuuurvve dry shampoo. For me it’s like mobile phones; I really wonder what anyone did before they existed.

No Drought smells incredibly fresh, with aromas of grapefruit and lime oil to freshen your hair and leave it feeling clean and refreshed. The main ingredient in this product is cornflour which is incredibly fine and absorbent, helping to banish excess oils, and buy you a day at least between washes.

This dry shampoo is different from others you may be familiar with, as it comes in a powder form rather than an aerosol spray. I find is easiest applied directly into your hands, then sprinkled onto the hair and massaged in WELL. This is a very white powder, so you really do have to take a moment to work it into your hair, and massage your scalp so you aren’t left with a white residue in your hair. I actually found that this was quite a good technique though, as the extra scalp massaging time also helped to add volume to my hair.

I don’t think this would be the ideal dry shampoo for darker hair though, as the powder is simply too white. I love the smell of this and for lighter hair, this works a treat. Do allow a few extra massage minutes more than your usual spray alternatives. After all no one needs to know all your beauty secrets! Except me;)
