    October Favorites!

    octoberfavesHere I am again, completely and utterly shocked that the year is almost over and we’re in November… which means it’s time for my October Favorites! This month *partly due to going home and discovering lots of beauty products that I’d, or other members of the fam had abandoned* the whole theme has been about embracing the old faves. You know, the items that you used to love, but totally  cast aside due to a newer, more glittery product on the market *guilty* Some of the products that I’d failed to use weren’t even that old, which is even more shameful, so I made a conscious effort to use them, or loose them. Just kidding, I could never be so cruel as to throw make-up away! Don’t worry though, there are also a few newbies that have been firm favorites all month and will continue to be….

    Here’s my round up of what I’ve been loving this October;

    Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum: You may remember that this popped up in my Autumn Skin Care edit, and I’ve been loving it ever since I bought it. I initially rationed myself to only using this at night, so as to prolong the life of the hefty price tag laden beauty, but the appeal of a ‘great night’s sleep’ effect that this baby promises to give you, was just too enticing. It’s now part of the morning routine too. Oh gawd.

    Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich foundation: I’ve been re-visiting this golden oldie – not so old that the products’ gone bad… just neglected. I always forget about this foundation, and it really is excellent if you have dry skin. It has wonderful coverage, and gives your skin a lovely dewy glow. Firmly back in the make-up bag, for when the skin needs something more than a BB but not as matte as Giorgio Armani maestro fusion.

    Marc Jacobs Woman Eau De Parfum Spray: Is a total blast from the past. This was never my signature scent even though I loved it, it now reminds me more of certain friends, which is lovely when you’re far from everyone you know. This is very strongly scented and definitely not a perfume for everyone, but for an instant back to school feeling *in a good way!* I’ve been reaching for this lovely.

    Glow all Out: Is of course one of the neewbies of the favorites and I think this looks so lovely on everyone. It’s got the perfect amount of pinky highlighter, to give your skin a lovely, pretty, glow. To read more about this, and see some pics of yours truly, check this out.

    Beauty Blender: Maybe because I found this so tricky to clean, I’ve abandoned it for so time, but due to a bout of dry skin and not wanting to emphasize it, I’ve been reaching for this. The ‘bouncing’ application that you use to apply your foundation with the beauty blender has definitely helped my foundation look totally flawless, and minimizes the look of any dry skin, as you’re not pulling or dragging your skin, but simply blotting and pressing the product on top of it.  Even though shampoo works well enough to clean this, I think I’m going to have to bite the bullet and buy the  beauty blender cleaner, to remove the tough foundation stains. Bother.

    Revlon Colorburst Lip gloss in Pink Ice:  Has been my ‘ postseasons gloss,’ where it’s too soon *in Florida at least* to reach for the berry and red toned offerings. I’ve almost said goodbye to the coral and orange lipsticks of summer, and this lip gloss is the perfect ‘I don’t know that color to wear’ color. With a hint of shimmery pink, this luxe looking offering from Revlon has been  a firm favorite this month.

    So all that’s left to say is there are only 53 days left until Christmas…wooopppp!!
