Origins is a place of unfamiliar territory for me, but when on the hunt for a new eye cream (and a free sample of the new GinZing energy boosting moisturizer) I found myself in this botanical beauty of a shop. After a little perusal of their bounties, and pondering of how brave all the ladies having mini facials right on the shop floor were, I left with Origins Eye Doctor, and a hefty load of samples – naturally.
My peepers are super sensitive, so it’s been a challenge to find an eye cream that won’t make them red, blotchy and just darn right angry, believe me I’ve tried many. I still love the Lush Enchanted eye cream, as it really did heal the eczema around my eyes, but in the name of research I wanted to branch out, and I’m pleased to say I’ve found one more eye cream that has my seal of approval!
To begin, this cream is ophthalmologist tested which is a winning factor for this contact laden lady. It didn’t sting my super sensitive eyes even the tiniest bit, and was refreshingly light, but also thick enough to moisturize the fine lines that can appear through dehydration. The cooling cucumber provides a wonderfully fresh but not overpowering scent, whilst the rosemary and Ginseng extract gets to work on De-puffing, reducing dark circles, and eradicating crows feet. This super team of ingredients is completed by the wonderful benefits of Green Tea, that helps to fight off free radical damage.
Whilst at $34 it’s little pricier than the Lush Enchanted eye cream, I find that the Origins Eye Doctor seems to have quicker and more visible results. A must have for summer, or any extreme temperatures. It’s just what the Doctor ordered.
