This post is a photo tutorial of how I did a quick eye make up look. You can use any 3 colours – a light colour for the base, a bronze for the lid and then a darker colour for the crease line…My apologies for the photography, I really must buy a proper camera!
These colours are from cosmetics a la Carte a wonderful British brand but you can use any similar colours…Me before..Step One: apply a concealer or primer over the eyelid. This will keep your eye make-up on for longer.
Step Two: apply your lightest shade all over the moveable eye lid which will also act like a base.
Step Three: Apply your bronze colour on top on the previous light colour. Tip: When applying eye shadow especially on someone else, turn your brush upside down, this way you will get the colour as close to the lash line as possible.
Step Four: apply your darkest colour with a rounded brush in a C / V shape, starting at the outer corner of the eye, and remember to blend!
Step Five: apply a thin line of black liquid liner as close to the lash line as possible. I use one from Rimmel. It’s not the best in terms of consistency, but I like the ‘pen’ it comes with. Mac fluid line is a good choice.
After I finished my eye make up I just applied a swirl of caramel coloured blusher and a caramel lip gloss.
Hope you enjoyed my first tutorial!
