Here’s the truth of it… when you pass your 30th birthday… all attention averts to anti-aging. It’s an uncanny phenomenon that I won’t delve into too much, because I know you still look amazing.. but….hands up if you’ve bought something that promises to anti-age your skin lately? Yep, thought so. That’s not a bad thing either, but buying the products with the correct blend of ingredients is key.
Skincare is my passion so when I had the opportunity to take Samaya’s Ayurvedic anti-aging VATA treatment oil for a spin, let’s just say, I didn’t need to be asked twice!
So what is Ayurvedic skincare?
Ah… I hoped you would ask and let me just say… I’ve written you a fabulous blog post explaining all about Samaya and spoiler alert – there’s even a link to a quizz, which you can take to find out which which dosha you are. The key to knowing which Ayurvedic products you should buy.
To sumarise though, it’s all about achieving the ‘perfect balance’ and that starts with skincare.
In a nutshell….
The spa like brand that is SAMAYA, carefully curates the finest authentic elements of Ayurveda, marrying them with clinically proven active ingredients and anti-aging compounds, to provide effective skincare through a relaxing, holistic experience. Just one deep inhale of any of these products will make you feel instantly relaxed – and that’s a promise!
Vata Anti-Aging Treatment Oil – My thoughts…
This luxurious oil is a concentrated blend of Ayurvedic botanicals and clinically proven active anti-aging ingredients. It’s a hardworking treatment oil which helps to address pesky signs of skin-aging (sigh) and promises to visibly reduce the appearance of wrinkles. I’m a big fan of the silky smooth feel of this product, which is ideal for parched winter complexions! Plus, it’s packed with Ayurvedic infusions such as Rose, Turmeric, Tulsi, Gotu Kola and Ashwagandha.
I like to apply the oil at night, after cleansing and applying serum. This quick-absorbing formula, doesn’t feel greasy or heavy at all and I finish my skincare routine with a nourishing moisturiser, to really help with the replenishing efforts the oil offers up.
After using this baby I can safely say that I wake up with peachy soft skin, that seems too good to be true, especially considering how cold it’s been lately! What I really love though, is the way the calming aroma gently lulls me into sleep and makes me forget for a second that I haven’t just spent the day in a spa. I’m not sure if I look younger yet BUT I did get asked for ID when buying superglue – true story. Make of that what you will, but I’m hanging onto this luxe product!
