I knew I would do some shopping in London, but I really didn’t think I would come back ladened with sandals! Still, I rationalised it by the fact that – A. I live in Florida and it’s basically always sandal weather ( except when it rains – which is alot!) B. I was off to Mykonos ( see above picture) and unless you are a super brave pro-high heel wearer, you can’t wear heels on the cobbled streets. So, the sandal buying commenced! It really is all about the sandals! Before you read on – know – I’m no foot model…
I love a mixture of dressy sandals and simple ones. The dressy sandals are perfect for those times when you can’t wear heels but you want to feel a bit more ‘fancy’ than just wearing some plain old Havaianas (which I also bought 3 pairs of) *slaps wrists.* Without further a do, let me introduce you to my latest fancy footwear – these beautiful bejewelled sandals from River Island. I adore the Turquoise colour and just how sparkly they are! I wore these for a night out in Mykonos with a plain, dark blue playsuit.
Next, I felt like I really needed a nude pair of sandals in my life – they do go with everything after all! I wanted some that could be dressed up, or easily worn to work. Then I found these lovely Kurt Geiger nude sandals, with a studded bow. These really make your feet look more tanned, and we all know about the leg lengthening benefits of nude shoes!
Lastly, you can’t go wrong with a simple pair of black sandals and these one’s from Loft are super comfortable. I can easily slip them on with pretty much anything. They’re the most understated of sandals that I own and truth be told this is one pair I bought before I went to London, but they accompanied me on the journey none the less!
Happy feet in happy sandals. That’s what I’m talking about! Now can someone please take me back to Mykonos so I can wander the cobbled streets some more!
