I know it’s already July, but it’s still not too late to get in shape for bikini season. If you’re somewhere hot like me, that started about 2 months ago, but hey ho, point is we can still look good and get fit for summer, or what’s left of it. Yes? I’ll be honest, I’m not really one for pushing myself when it comes to the gym. I mean I used to time my ‘workouts’ so that I could watch This Morning, or *ehm* Saturday Kitchen.
Nowadays, I’ve found that I’m more of a downwards dog, pretzel impressionist, yoga lovin’ kinda girl. So, when my niece introduced me to this work out (courtesy of Pinterest and Health & Fitness Magazine), I wasn’t keen at first. Fast forward to me seeing a picture of her insanely toned body as a result of work outs like this one, and cut to me doing the 15 minute work out. When I say doing, I mean writhing on the floor, attempting to finish 1 minutes worth of mountain climbers. Yeah.
As a self confessed (sometimes) lazy girl, I liked the appeal of only working out for 15 minutes, and achieving incredible results. Truth be told though, you should really do this workout twice through if you’re an intermediate and three times if you’re advanced, but….. If you haven’t felt your tricep muscles since primary school sports day, only attempt this once. Like me.
I do think this workout has incredible results, and the best part is you can do it without needing any equipment or weights. You could even do this on holiday too! Fun, aren’t I?! If you’d like to give it a go, but don’t know your mountain climbers from your jump squats, look them all up on YouTube (I’ve started you off by linking you to mountain climbers) then feel the burn people!
PS. I’m not a personal trainer obvs, so always listen to your body, drink lots of water, and take brakes. Naturally.
