A couple of weekends ago I bit the bullet and I had a full on Anasatsia ‘Haul.’ If the eyebrow waxing (pre-payment) hadn’t made my eyes water, I’m pretty sure that they would have been following the bill I racked up. My eyebrows were happy, my wallet was not. Still, I’m pretty pleased with what I got, I’m not entirely sure all of it was necessary – as much as I believed it was at the time. PS. Sorry about my grubby paws marks all over this!
So, I already told you about the Brow Serum, which is incredible- I thoroughly recommend this for bare brow ladies. Today though I’m going to fill you in on the Anastasia Brow Kit. I spoke about this before, and I’ve been umming and ahhing about the whole ‘big brow thang’ since this post. Evidently I got over my issues with larger brows and I’m going full force with the whole Anastasia method. If you don’t follow her on Instagram you must, its an epic adventure of make-up loveliness. Plus, Anastasia used to be an architect so the ‘perfect brow’ is actually a very mathematical thing.
I digress. The kit is made up of tweezers, stencils to create that perfect shape, an eyebrow gel to keep unruly hairs in place, and a two tone brow powder to fill your brows in with. Firstly I love the little bag that all these goodies come in. It’s neat, it’s tidy and it keeps me organized on hectic mornings. The thing that is rather tricky to use are the stencils, which are designed to be used as a guide to achieve the perfect eyebrow shape. The problem I have is that they are really hard to use on yourself, especially when you are trying to use the other hand to create the brow. I almost wish they would stick to your face, then you might have a chance at actually using these as they were intended, rather than fiddling around trying to position an awkward piece of plastic.
Your eyebrows really will look perfect after you get the Anastasia method done (waxing, etc), but re-creating it at home is another story. I think I need another ‘educational’ appointment to recap what I learned the first time, as perfect brows don’t come easy. I love this kit, but if you already have tweezers you rave about, an amazing brow gel and something to fill your brows in with, it’s probably not worth it for you. I can imagine this would be perfect for make-up artists as you have the stencils you could use on anyone. I’m actually a bit confused by the stencils, so I have a lot of questions ready for my next appointment!
Anastasia rocks it in the brow world that’s for sure, and I’m a massive fan. If only my wallet didn’t hate me so much after an Anastasia Haul!
