I love a good budget buy, and what could be better than 88 matte eye shadows for $11.50! Feel free to gasp.
Normally I shy away from such products dismissing them as being a waist of time and money. Remember when you were little and could buy a girls magazine with a free make-up gift. Yep, I’ve been burnt before, so I had to question; how can something be so cheap AND good?! I’ll be honest, I don’t think I would ever have bought this if I hadn’t seen Tanya Burr say she owns one of these beauties in a recent you tube video.
Tanya say’s that she uses her color palette to create celebrity make-up looks, as there are so many colors to use, which is great when you are trying to re-create a look. Let’s say you are doing just that; you don’t want to go and buy new single shades you may only use a couple of times. Tanya had me at ‘celebrity make-up,’ and I immediately put digits to screen and bought the BH cosmetics 88 color palette matte eyeshadow.
Whilst you may break a nail or two trying to prize your way into this thing, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the color palette (like I was) and the quality of the pigmentation. The colors are well pigmented, and the brighter ones especially come out looking just as vibrant at they do in the palette. Also the variety of shades in the color palette are excellent, and the palette is definitely a great choice if you like creating different looks, or you’re a make-up artist and need a variety of colors in your kit.
Is this the best make-up you will ever use? No, but its certainly fun if you like a good face painting session.
