The weather today in the sunny state of Florida, isn’t so sunny. It’s very gray, pouring with rain, and thunder storms and lightening, are consuming the skies. I could almost fool myself into thinking I’m home in London, except, it’s SO darn hot!
Heat and rain is basically my idea of a hair nightmare, and if I attempt to wear it down in this kind of weather, I resemble something from gorillas in the mist. Here’s a little visual for you, that definitely brightened my gloomy day!
Luckily I discovered two products from Garnier Fructis Style Sleek & Shine range that have come to my frizzy haired rescue. The first product is Moroccan Sleek Oil Treatment for frizzy, dry and unmanageable hair, yes, yes, and yes. This product contains Moroccan Argan Oil, that is easily absorbed into the hair whilst still leaving it lightweight. I love this product as not only does it smell wonderful, it’s helped to leave my hair super soft and shiny, without making it feel greasy or oily. I use this on damp washed hair as a leave in conditioner, but you can also use this to tame frizz after blow drying.
My hair laps up moisture like water on sand, so I need some powerful taming to keep my locks under control. Next up to fight the frizz is Garnier Fructis Style Anti-Humidity Smoothing Milk. After I rough dry my hair, I divide it into sections, and apply a small amount of this onto semi dry hair, then dry some more and straighten. The argan oil in this helps to instantly smooth my hair, and keep it looking sleek, even post tropical rain storm. This smells so fruity and incredible, you’ll want to use it every day, even when it’s not humid outside. I also use this after I’ve dried and straightened all my hair to tame any fly aways, and to combat any last signs of frizz. The best thing about this product though, is that it won’t leave your hair flat or greasy. I actually found that it helps to add a little volume, whilst keeping the rest of my hair smooth.
So there you have it. These two products are amazing, and a must buy for anyone living in a humid climate, or even thinking about going on holiday to a humid climate. Remember the episode of friends when Monica goes to Barbados and her ends up so frizzy she has to get cornrows put in!? If you don’t, watch it, its too funny! If only she had some Garnier products:)
