Having grown up in England, a sunny day was something to be celebrated. I remember on one particularly warm and sunny day, my friend and I decided to close the curtains, shut out all the sunshine and watch a movie – bang, slap, in the middle of the day. Much to my parents horror. You see, if it’s sunny and you’re from the UK – you go out – you live it up – you are thankful for the sunshine. You do not stay inside all day! Now I live in Florida, everyday is basically sunny, so it often makes me feel guilty staying in.
I always feel like I need to do something, go out and be super busy. All. The. Time. Even when I don’t really feel like it. This weekend I took a step back and I realized, that sometimes just taking things slower, plodding around at home, sitting out in the sunshine ( of course) is all you need to feel like you ‘did’ something. So here’s to having fun – ditching the guilt trip – and if you want to0 …. take life slower! Here’s to the little things! Happy super Sunday!
