You all know how much I loved summer’s white nail polish. I even tried to drag the trend through Autumn with me, by adding some gold glitter, then came the time when I eventually, and reluctantly let it slip away, only to replace it with white eyelids. Oh yes, you read that correctly. One of the make-up trends for the winter months is white eyeshadow, which promises to make your face more luminous, your eye color pop, your mascara look phenomenal, not to mention the fact that you’ll blend in nicely with the snow!
The idea is that your peepers should be as white as possible, no taupes, eggshells, or ivory allowed, but I’ll look away if you happen to reach for an off white hue. If an all over Ralph Lauren esque white eyeshadow isn’t really your thing, you could experiment with a white eyeliner flick like at the Kenzo shows. Or ease yourself in by lining your eyelid in white, smudging it all over and then sweeping a shimmery white on top. Did someone say dreamy!?
I teamed my white eyshadow with a hot pink lip, plenty of black mascara and lined my lower water line with black eyeliner. If I still can’t convince you to give this look a go, how about dipping a toe in to the winter white trend and lining your water line with white. This will make your eye color stand out, and make you look more awake. What’s not to love about that?!
