Hello my lovely readers! As some of you read this it will be Valentines day, so I hope it’s all roses and chocolate! If not who cares, it’s one day and then it’s all forgotten about. Buy yourself some flowers, get dressed up, and go out with your friends. You don’t need anyone else to tell you how amazing you are, or to buy you chocolate! Last year I spent Valentines with my parents and my sister in law. We went to watch Breakfast at Tiffany’s at the Riverside Studios, and then had an amazing dinner. Seriously, it was so much fun. Who says you need a significant other to enjoy the day!
So this is my Valentines – Look # 2, and it’s all about the lips, but obviously with some lashes thrown in for good measure! This look would be perfect if you aren’t going to be having dinner. We all know eating and lippy don’t really mix. If you’re having a couple of drinks however just make sure you use a straw, and apply a good dose of Lipcote. A wonderful product that will make your lipstick stay on all night and day. This won’t really work for glossy lipsticks though, so if you want your lipstick to last, stick to the matte colors, but glossies are great for easy and quick application.
For the face I used exactly the same base and cheek color as yesterday’s Valentines – Look # 1.
For the eyes: I primed my entire lid up to the brow, with Mac Paint Pot in Painterly, this is a wonderful must have product for making eyeshadow last. Next I swept Mac Forgery all over the moveable lid and in the inner corner of the eyes. I then applied Mac Malt on the brow bone and blended.
Lashes are the same as Valentines – Look # 1 – Kimberly from Girls Aloud – Eyelure lashes.
For the lips: I used two different lip colors, for two different looks. The pink shade is by Lancome in shade 304 , and I feel this is a great color for those who don’t feel comfortable sporting a bold lip. It still brings some lovely romantic soft color to the face, but it’s not too much of a dramatic look.
If the bright lips are too much for you, try the lashes. They will instantly change your entire look, and If you’re not used to wearing lashes, make sure you apply them at least one hour before going out, so you can feel comfortable. You can also experiment with different lashes. Start with a natural pair, and then go more dramatic as your feel more confident. Ask a friend to help you apply them if you aren’t able to apply them yourself. If you’re still not sure go with some individual lashes. They will add a little omph to your natural lashes, leaving you looking flirty and fun!
