What’s in my April Birchbox?

Can you even hardly believe it’s April? Sometimes I think that If it wasn’t for my monthly Birchbox I would literally have no idea what month it was. It doesn’t really help that Florida has ‘seasons’ ranging from ‘warm’ ‘hot’ and ‘darn right stifling’  – after a while it all kind of blurs into one, and it’s hard to tell if it’s winter or summer! Anyways – this month’s box was all about ‘April Showers’ which we don’t really have too much here in Florida in April. We have the rain to look forward to come hurricane season! Still, I love the idea of the box – it’s all about being cozy inside, spending lazy rainy days at home catching up with your favorite program’s, or spending an afternoon playing around with make-up!

They also included some really cute ideas about things to occupy your time on a rainy day – I got Tip 22: “Try a new beauty technique you’ve always wanted to master” – well you don’t need to twist my arm there!  You can check out more ideas here!

You can see from the little contents card above what we got, and the prices if you were to buy them full size. Remember though, if you review via the Birchbox website you can earn points which leads to, you guessed it – prizes! Well kind of, you get money to use towards products. I really need to start doing this *slaps wrists*

I adore the color of this months nail polish! It a beautiful aqua blue that’s perfect for spring, and has been co-created by blogger Gala Gonzalez. I also love the Cynthia Rowley eyeliner in silver. Whilst I get metallic is not for everyone – I think you should give it a go! I image this in the inner corners of the eyes, or I think it would look beautiful in the lower water line!

Also I’m pretty pleased with the fact that Birchbox keeps churning out ‘hair care’ samples – as I really need help in this department.

All in all, a great box! Do you get Birchbox? If so, what did you think?
