Oh it’s that time of the month, when my post box is just so delightful with beauty bounty! A wonderful occurrence thanks to the likes of Birchbox – the ultimate in the try before you buy concept. This month’s box was themed around ‘Freewheeling’ when things burst into action, when you toss out the rules and take a playful approach to make-up!
First up is my favourite product of the entire box – Supergoop! Everyday SPF 30 Cellular Response Technology. This is an amazingly lightweight sunscreen providing water resistant protection from the sun’s harmful rays. Love, love, love this! Not greasy at all, doesn’t sting my sensitive skin, and hasn’t made me break out – like other sun creams do. I will be purchasing the full size version of this! Stay #SunSavvy people!!
My second favourite product in this box is the Pixi – Shea Butter Lip Balm that smells heavenly. It’s a dual purpose lip balm that’s hydrating with the Shea Butter, while leaving a light wash of sheer pinky colour. A beach must have if I may say so myself!
Also in this month’s box was the Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream. Confession time – I never shave my legs with shaving cream – only water. On that note, my skin is particularly dry and I’m no detective.. but I’m now thinking the two could be linked. I’m going to try this and put the ‘shaving cream VS water’ to the test!
There was also a small packet of Smarty Pants that are vitamin gummies for adults – but seeing as I don’t eat gelatin ( which is an ingredient in this) I won’t be eating these as I don’t eat meat or ingredients derived from meat. I’m not preaching, simply stating why I can’t tell you about these in further detail!
Lastly there was a Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Overnigh Detox Oil, which is an all natural blend of antioxidant plant oils, designed to work together to bring your skin hydration, purification and renewal. You use 6 drops of this before night cream or alone. I’m a HUGE Caudalie fan, so I’m excited to try this!
Did you get Birchbox this month? If so, what did you think?
