In Vinnytsia, rescuers conducted demonstration exercises to save a drowning man

Despite the ban on swimming on the beaches of Vinnytsia, citizens ignore all warnings and go on vacation to the shores of the Southern Bug River.

This was reported by the state emergency service of the Vinnytsia region.

“For this purpose, on the basis of a set of diving and rescue operations of the Special Purpose Emergency Rescue Detachment, emergency workers created two sites. Each reflects unexpected situations, including fatigue of a person while swimming in depth and disregard of safety rules when diving in an unspecified location. The state emergency service said rescuers worked on all situations, not on mannequins but on survivors.”

First, they explained how to help someone if ordinary citizens experienced an emergency. Subsequently, rescue divers demonstrated in practice what special means usually saved by SES fighters when making emergency calls to rescue a drowning person. Of course, thanks to special watercraft, the speed of emergency response has become even faster. To do this, a group of diving and rescue operations uses a glider. Designed for a crew of five, they can carry half a ton of cargo and develop a speed of 110 km / h, made of a special “light” alloy, which is considered unsinked.

“In total, since the beginning of the year in the Vinnytsia region, there have been 24 events on water bodies, 17 of which ended tragically. The waters killed two children under the age of 16.
Lifeguards say the condition for safe recreation on the water is the ability to swim. A person who swims well, feels calm on the water, is confident, if necessary, can help those who are in trouble. However, even a person who swims well must always be careful, disciplined and strictly follow the rules of behavior on the water. After all, their knowledge and implementation – is the key to the safety of your life and the life of your children, as well as the pleasure of rest, ”- he said in a statement.
